Do the customers like this product?
The overall opinion of customers who have bought the in-ground cat fence system is that it does what it says on the box. Some customers have commented about the difficulty they have had trying to get the cat to wear the collar which they think is too bulky. However most seem happy with the results. Customers have also pointed out that they have had to buy extra wire kits to ensure that their cats have been safely fenced in.
The first thing you notice about the Premium in-ground fence is that the cat on the box doesn’t look that happy. This equates to buying a toy with a miserable looking child on the box. On opening the box you start to wonder where the premium part of the package comes into play, as the built quality isn’t great. The transmitter that you use is made out of white plastic that will discolour over time and there is no weight to it at all.
The cat collar isn’t much better either, with its clunky design. The collar wasn’t designed to go unnoticed and with the weight of it, it isn’t any surprise that cats try to get it off, when you put it on them. However it won’t take long for your cat to get used to their new fashion accessories. That is providing you have an understanding cat.
The fence supplies that come with this product again leave a lot to be desired. As it will only cover 1/3 of an acre. This can be expanded to 25 acres if you buy the extra wire kits, but when you are buying a premium product you don’t expect to have to buy expansions too.
The in-ground fence does have the ability to accommodate an unlimited amount of pets, but again you will have to buy the extra collars separately if you want to add them to your system, making it a somewhat costly affair.

- Lots of useful tips to help train your cat.
The instructions come with a lot of useful tips to help introduce your cat to the new system, to ensure that the transition goes as smoothly as possible.
What are its cons?
- The build quality is poor.
The transmitter is made out of white plastic that will discolour with age, especially if you smoke. The transmitter feels light and easily breakable in your hands.
- The collar is too bulky and weighted.
You will struggle to get your cat to adjust to their new collar, due to it being so bulky and weighted. Though it doesn’t look like it’s causing them discomfort, they defiantly don’t seem to like it.
- You don’t get a lot of fencing wire.
If you have a small garden then you don’t need to worry, however if you have a large open space to fence then you will need to by extra wire to accommodate it. This is not something you expect from a premium product.
The Premium cat in-ground fence system is a great middle ground product that does the job. However it is not a premium product and it would do a lot better if it didn't advertise itself as that. The build quality isn't great and you don't get an ample amount of anything unless you are willing to pay extra for extension kits.
